Ships earn money by carrying cargo between ports; more cargo means more money.

How much cargo can a ship carry? Well, that depends on her Loadline.

In this course, we explain the meaning of the load line marks on a ship's side.

We cover loadlines and different criteria worldwide for the summer, winter, and tropical loadlines. We also touch on the freshwater loadlines and discuss additional capacity available through the timber load lines.

The outcome understanding is equivalent to that of an Officer of the Watch.
