Main Engine Turbocharger Failure

Karco 23 minutes

Turbochargers are important pieces of engineering equipment that allow diesel engines to be more efficient and achieve greater speeds. As such, these critical pieces of equipment must be carefully maintained to ensure they operate effectively.

This course will explain the workings of a turbocharger as well as describe some of the ways they may be damaged due to incorrect maintenance or operation. There is a case study that shows the consequences of improper maintenance and suggests operational practices for ensuring the correct running of the turbochargers at all times.
