Welcome to the refresher training ‘Passenger Safety, Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity’. This training follows the directive of the STCW 2017 Code In this lesson, we will cover the training requirements as highlighted in STCW, Regulation V/2, paragraph 4 & 9 and section A-V/2.5 ‘Passenger safety, cargo safety and hull integrity training ’
This is a refresher training. Masters, officers, ratings and other personnel, who are required to be trained in accordance with STCW V/2 paragraphs 7 to 9 shall, at intervals not exceeding five years, undertake appropriate refresher training or be required to provide evidence of having achieved the required standard of competence within the previous five years. Depending on the flag of the ship, this may also be demonstrated with relevant sailing time (1 year in 5 years).
Required qualifications:
In order to follow the refresher training, an initial certificate for this training should be available.
Learning Objective:
During this course you will learn to organise the safe movement of vehicles and passengers when embarking and disembarking, control all elements of cargo safety and hull integrity and monitor and control atmosphere in ro-ro cargo spaces.
The certificate:
After successful completion of this CBT you will receive a STCW 2010 refresher certificate for Passenger Safety & Cargo Safety and Hull Integrity (Regulation V/2 Paragraph 7 to 9 and Section A-V/2, paragraph 4).
