In emergencies, the conduct of persons can strongly deviate from normal conditions because of acute stress and fear. This course describes the symptoms of acute stress and ways to ease this so that rescue work becomes easier and the consequences of the emergency are minimised. This applies even to psychological effects, which could otherwise be caused by a traumatic experience.
The course is a theoretical basis for the practical drills you will attend onboard and at the training facilities onshore.
