SIMAC Training

We are a professional and internationally recognized maritime educational institution. We provide and transmit knowledge in an inspiring study and work atmosphere, which matches the aspirations for a career in the maritime world. Svendborg International Maritime Academy – SIMAC – is Denmark’s largest maritime education centre featuring three education programmes and approximately 900 students, 100+ employees, 3 educations and a course department, SIMAC Training, with approximately 800 course participants per year. SIMAC was formed in 2001 as a merger of Kogtved Seafaring School, A.P. Møller Maersk Training School, Svendborg School of Marine Engineering, and Svendborg Navigation School. Since we are a self-governing national educational institution, our training is governed by the Ministry of Higher Education and Science, eg. the consolidation act on maritime educations.
