In this lesson, we will show the learner and watchkeepers how to conduct engine room rounds in a structured way and what equipment checks to carry out in the machinery spaces of typical large ships. We will detail how an Engineer Officer of the Watch (EOOW) should carry out the proper checks in the machinery space to ensure that equipment is operating correctly when starting your watch keeping or UMS duties.
