  3. Debriefings

    Debriefings

A debriefing allows crediting the team after a job well done. It allows showing the benefits of keeping to the plan or being creative in solving the unexpected. The debriefing also points out shortcomings to be corrected in the next drill. To start with pointing out one’s shortcomings opens up for the rest of the team to be self-critical without running the risk of “loose face”.

    Decision Making

Your body is in constant energy-saving mode and that does not always go well with the way we need to use our cognitive ability. There are times when we need to tell our body that: “I have time, I need to go to the bottom with this, and other times when we need to say: “This is an emergency, I need to act fast!” Your brain sometimes goes into the wrong mode and we need to correct that. This chapter tells us a bit about that.
