This short introductory course will discuss the possibility of creating completely recyclable boats thanks to the new lamination processes with natural fibres. The Italian startup nlComposite explains how it plans to solve the disposal problem of fibreglass boats with the construction of boats in reusable materials.

During this course, topics related to sustainability in constructing new recyclable boats will be discussed. To fully understand the process, we let ourselves be guided by Andrea Paduano, the company's R&D manager.

We will understand which materials are indicated and how the lamination process is carried out. Materials such as linen can be reused for the construction of new boats. The circular economy also takes hold in the nautical world, trying to solve the complex problem of the disposal of fibreglass, which as of today, still remains an unsolved problem.
