Today we're releasing a big update, consisting of many small improvements. We have made the app faster and easier to navigate. Built new personalised course recommendations to surface the courses relevant to you. Let's dig into what's changed.
A Brand New Home Screen
We've condensed the layout of the home screen with the ambition of squeezing everything important into one view. The first thing you will see is the courses that you currently have in progress, so you can continue where you left off. Following that, you will see our re-engineered personalised recommendations.
Personalised Course Recommendations
With the personalised recommendations, we surface courses that other learners have completed from the Seably Marketplace based on role, vessel type, language and activity. This will make it easier to find relevant training from our library of over 800 titles catered for your profession. With Staff Picks, our content team manually picks high-quality titles that they see as extra relevant just for you.

The You Sidebar
On the right-hand side of the home screen, you find the new You sidebar. The sidebar contains a structured view of all courses and libraries that are assigned to you. This makes it easier to stay on top of deadlines and reminders and make sure your training is up to date. In the sidebar, you will also find your bookmarks and shortcuts to your certificates and followed topics.
Updates to Search and Explore
On top of these changes, we have also updated Explore. The starting point for the update is a new topic structure which makes it easier to browse and find the courses you are looking for. We have improved the speed of search and made results more relevant to your profile. To make browsing for courses even easier we have added new filters to find courses, suited for a certain vessel type or an onboard role.
In addition to this, we have also improved the course pages, highlighting the learning outcomes, showing the last time a course has been updated and showing similar courses to the one you are viewing.
We hope these updates will make it easier to find relevant courses from both employers and the Seably Marketplace. In the coming days, these changes will also be rolled out the the mobile apps.
