This course deals with meteorological navigation in terms of atmospheric circulation and pressure changes which influences the winds and the sea state.

The students will learn about various aspects of meteorology, understand them and implement the gained knowledge in situations out at sea. They will understand how the prevailing winds are formed, how the pressure changes on a massive scale influence specific weather conditions in an area, as well as what is to be ultimately expected out of the sea state.
