Container Firefighting

Seably 16 minutes

Welcome to an introductory course on container firefighting where you will learn about different container types, what classes of cargo are stored inside them and how to boundary cool in the case of a fire on board.

Upon completion of this course, you should have a fairly reasonable understanding of the IMDG Code classifications and the signs that accompany each cargo for easy identification.

You will also learn about boundary cooling, and how and why we may use it in the event of a fire onboard.

Finally, you will learn about standard dry containers and refrigerated containers, what they are used for and the differences between them.
