This course explains how to correctly plot a course on the nautical chart, allowing for the wind effect and the set and drift of the current.

Students will learn with practical examples, how to draw on the chart the true course to steer to reach a final destination, taking into consideration the wind effect and the current. In the lesson, they will see an actual course shaping, with numbers and values, and will learn how to use the parallel ruler, the divider, and the Tidal Tables to draw the course to steer on the chart.
