The appreciation of fine cigars, like the appreciation of wines, is an exceptional form of art. First, the definition of a fine cigar: a fine cigar is handmade using only 100% tobacco. Nothing matches the centuries-old culture of cultivating cigar tobacco or the huge amount of time the tobacco farmer and cigar maker puts into the creation of a fine cigar. There are very few things in the world that are known almost without question to be the best of their kind. At the heart of a good cigar is the tobacco and its taste.
In this course, you will learn everything you need to know about cigars. Magnums Academy instructor Josephine Ive will share her passion for cigars and will take you through a brief history of cigars, tobacco plantations, the various regions and different shapes and sizes.

Magnums Academy has also kindly provided a glossary of the most important key terms so that you will be able to communicate effectively with cigar shops, your guest cigar smoker and other cigar smokers.
Last but not least, an assessment with a pass mark of 80% will follow in order to ensure full understanding and competence.
