Decision Making - Fast and Slow Emergencies

This is a course for Maritime leaders, current and future.

This is not a cold course quoting leadership models, it takes the student on a journey through real events in the maritime environment and the learning outcomes that these deliver. students on the course will learn a decision-making Strategy and then see this strategy in use in a real event.

Students will be introduced to decision-making strategies and their application to fast and slow emergencies.

On completion, a student should be able to recognise behaviours in themselves and others that either help or hinder their decisions in emergencies.

Emergencies themselves will be introduced by the nature as 'fast and slow'. Through traditional maritime training, many students will be familiar with a fast emergency, though it is unlikely they have received training and developed strategies for a slow emergency. This course provides these tools.
