This course introduces Mercator Sailings which is a common navigational calculation for determining courses and distances for passage planning and rendezvous. These are for long-distance calculations, i.e. for passages greater than 600 Nautical Miles.

This lesson will cover an introduction and explanation of Mercator Sailings. It will also provide an example of a Mercator Sailing Calculation followed by a test of your knowledge in the form of an assessment.
