Personal lifejackets or PFDs (Personal Floatation Devices), are one of the most important safety equipment to care about when on the water, for boating, sailing or any other water sport. It is important and useful to understand clearly what types of PFDs exist on the market and which one to choose for our specific purpose. Once you have chosen the right PFDs, it is equally important to know how to wear them correctly and how to care for and store them on board to keep them functional and legally approved. The course is intended for US boaters because it explains the US Coast Guard requirements.
