Inspection and Maintenance of Safety Equipment

Oro World 16 minutes

All safety equipment onboard must conform to the requirements of SOLAS Chapter III and the LSA Code. To ensure that the equipment remains in working order, it must be inspected and maintained regularly to ensure that it is ready for use in an emergency.

This course introduces the SOLAS regulations for safety and life-saving equipment as well as the mandatory and recommended maintenance schedules for these crucial pieces of ship equipment.
