This course is intended to provide basic knowledge and understanding of the Swedish Maritime Rules and Regulations for all Non-Swedish Master´s serving onboard a swedish flagged vessels. The course is mandatory for all Non-Swedish Master´s serving onboard Swedish ships but is also a great guide for all Deck Officers.

The course takes the student through the most important regulations that he or she need to have the knowledge of in the daily work. Those who complete the course will have a basic understanding of current legislation including:

- National Acts
- National Regulations
- Provisions on occupational injuries, sickness, and insurance
- The keeping of Offical Deck Log Books
- Current work agreement for seafarers
- Reporting of work Injury
- Information on Medical Advice onboard ships via radio (Radio Medical)
