Bulk carriers are among the most prolific and most dangerous of vessels sailing in the oceans. This course looks at the typical hazards and dangers of bulk carrier operations and how these are managed on board to promote safer working conditions.

This course covers the legislation surrounding bulk carriers and how to comply with the requirements for safe management practices. It also explores the stability and loading requirements and the means of safe preparation of the loading plan to ensure the vessels are loaded correctly and remain as safe as possible.
