Lifting Operations Using Cranes

Oro World 21 minutes

According to the MLC regulations, all countries should make provisions for health and safety legislation to cover all shipping operations. In the instance of lifting and slinging involving the use of cranes, this means that all flag and port state regulations for the use of cranes must be implemented onboard ships when using these pieces of machinery.

In this course you will learn how the UK implementers these requirements, for use in UK waters and aboard UK-flagged ships. These lessons can then be applied to other vessels and operations in other states by referencing their local regulations to ensure compliance.
