Effective Use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Oro World 19 minutes

Ships are inherently dangerous workspaces, made doubly so by the fact that they move and rock while underway. During any operation, it is imperative that those involved are adequately protected from injury by use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) so that they are less likely to become injured.

This course explores the legislative requirements for the use of PPE as well as how to determine when it is to be used, by means of a risk assessment. Finally you will learn about the different types of PPE available and how they protect the wearer.
