Ships are inherently dangerous workspaces, made doubly so by the fact that they move and rock while underway. Slips, trips and falls are therefore one of the most prevalent ways for personnel to injure themselves if correct precautions are not taken.

This course explores the causes of slips, trips and falls onboard ships. You will then explore the risk assessment process and how to apply these principles to determine how best to minimise the likelihood of these types of incidents occurring. Finally, you will learn about the control measures that can be used to implement the outcomes of the risk assessment.
