Protection and Control of High Voltage Power Circuits

Graham Van Brunt 5 hours and 36 minutes

This course deals with the protection and control principles of high voltage stations. Strong background knowledge in electrical circuitry will assist your understanding of this subject.

In dealing with the protection and control principles of high voltage stations we shall cover HV Bus Differential Protection (which is taught alongside restrictions due to CT saturation, mismatch and its solution). System faults, switchyard configuration and elements, Duel Element Spot Network (DESN) are also covered within this course. The various types of HV circuit breakers are examined along with each of their controls.
