The marine industry takes safety very seriously, however, in spite of our best efforts incidents do unfortunately still occur, particularly during mooring. A marine insurance industry report shows that mooring incidents are one of the most frequent personal injury causes.

The aim of this learning course is not to just watch a video, it is to think about and discuss the incident. We want the learner to reflect on the causes of the incidents involved in this video. We want them to relate to what has happened (or could happen) in similar situations on their ship and what they could do differently in the future. In this training, the learner has the opportunity to elaborate on how to prevent a similar incident from happening aboard their vessel in the future.
