We are here to keep you up to date! As you know, our industry evolves at an incredibly fast pace. Thankfully, here at Seably, we are all about keeping you and your seafarers ahead of the learning curve.

We've added lots of new maritime training courses to our platform during March.

We release new courses all the time and are excited to share with you this month's additions - as you can see we have been very busy!  Add these courses to your team's libraries now.

We are delighted to announce the addition of an exciting range of new courses provided by Learning Seaman. With 53 learning topics ranging from wellness, nutrition, and leadership styles, these short courses are designed to provide an educational tool for both seafarers and shoreside personnel.

Intended for: All Seafarers and Shoreside Personnel.

Home should be a place you can relax and get away from daily life stressors. But for many people at home, the pressure builds, making anxiety levels soar.  Learn some simple strategies to help de-stress when you are home, helping you feel good again.

2. Resilience – Recharge the Inner Battery

Intended for: Seafarers and Shoreside Personnel.

As individuals, our work keeps us constantly moving and often away from family. It is easy to forget to take care of ourselves to keep up with the demands of our jobs.

In this course we discuss how to recognise and manage stress, practice self-care and develop techniques designed to recharge your internal battery, helping you to improve your emotional and physical well-being.

1. Becoming Whale Aware

Intended for: All Officers and Crew on any type of vessel.

Ship strikes are one of the greatest known threats to all whales, dolphins and porpoises (cetaceans), and are hampering the recovery of several endangered whale species worldwide.

This course, created by the World Cetacean Alliance will enable bridge crew to assess the risk of collisions occurring, understand how to plan ahead to reduce that risk and learn how to spot high-risk species and behaviours at sea.

2. HP Blaster Familiarisation

Intended for: Officers and ratings involved in the onboard corrosion maintenance.

Are you looking for a way to safely and effectively use a High-Pressure Blaster? Look no further! Our new course from BSO Svendborg provides you with all the necessary skills to work with this powerful tool without compromising your safety. With our comprehensive instruction, you'll be able to evaluate your work environment and assess your work in order to minimise risks.

3. Goal Setting

Intended for: All staff and management.

Setting effective goals, in and out of work, helps us to become more productive, improve our motivation and achieve our targets both as an individual and as part of a team.

Learn the 5 principles of goal setting together with some tips and strategies to ensure success with this new course from Whitaker Training.

4. Deck Safety for Supply Vessels

Intended for: All seafarers working on or with offshore supply vessels.

Working on the deck of an offshore platform supply vessel can be hazardous and the importance of knowing how to keep yourself, your colleagues and the ship safe is of paramount importance.

Learn how to control the risks associated with general deck work; mooring operations; and when working both deck and bulk cargoes.
