This course is all about deck safety for offshore vessels.

The aim of the module is to give all personnel working on the deck of an offshore platform supply vessel, the knowledge necessary to appreciate the hazards concerned and the actions required to allow them to work safely at all times. Information is given on controlling the risks associated with general deck work; mooring operations; and when working both deck and bulk cargoes. The module can also assist a company in their responsibilities under section A-I/14 paragraph 2.1.2 of the STCW code Part A, to provide familiarisation information to newly employed seafarers.
