This course offers a comprehensive insight into the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), a critical global maritime safety treaty. Established under the International Maritime Organization (IMO), SOLAS aims to set minimum safety standards for the construction, equipment, and operation of ships. By participating in this course, attendees will gain valuable knowledge on various SOLAS chapters, their relationship with the STCW Convention, IMO Model Courses, and ISM Code, ultimately enhancing their understanding of maritime safety.

This course teaches you the dangers of hypothermia and how to properly don, store, maintain & inspect immersion suits. See a visual demonstration for donning a suit and helpful tips when running drills.

In this course, you will learn what is a Personal Lifejacket, how to choose the best one for you and how to use it properly. The course follows the U.S. Coast Guard requirements.
